Declare your commitment to the Galápagos Islands with a truly special collaboration celebrating the Charles Darwin Foundation.

The case and band are made of bio-based resins to honour the commitment to the environment that G-SHOCK and the foundation share.

This commitment is also captured in the dial design, printed watch glass, band loop, and LED backlight display—all inspired by the giant tortoises that call the Galápagos home.

The case back is engraved with the Charles Darwin Foundation logo and name in Spanish, while the band printed with the Spanish phrase, Apoyo la conservación de Galápagos, proclaims your commitment to protecting these precious islands.

The Charles Darwin Foundation is an international nonprofit organisation that operates the Charles Darwin Research Station. It is the first international organisation to engage in conservation activities in the Galápagos Islands, starting in 1959. Currently, it has over 100 staff members from all over the world involved in a range of activities, including surveying the Galápagos Islands’ marine and terrestrial life and ecosystems, promoting island nature conservation efforts, and providing environmental education to local residents.

Hammerhead shark
[GW-B5600CD-1A2]

The unique appearance of the hammerhead shark, with its head that protrudes laterally in a “T” shape, appears in silhouette form. A sea-inspired, all-over pattern decorates the face, and the band loop features a die-cut hammerhead shark motif. A silhouette of the shark also appears on the LCD when the backlight is illuminated.

Attention to materials: Bio-based resin

The case and band are made with bio-based resins. Produced using renewable organic resources, this material is expected to help reduce environmental impact.

Special features to commemorate a special collaboration

The Charles Darwin Foundation logo is engraved on the case back, and the statement “Apoyo la conservación de Galápagos.” (Spanish for “I support Galápagos conservation.”) is printed on the band. The watch comes complete with special, plastic-free packaging.
