Origin Story
Timeless in Toughness.
In the realm of G-SHOCK, the 6900 series stands as an iconic collection that has left an indelible mark. Unveiled in 1995, this series marked a departure from the original squared design of the DW-5000 model, introducing a rounded form that quickly gained a dedicated fanbase as a "Triple Graph" model.
As the years passed, the 6900 series continued to captivate enthusiasts and has maintained its popularity. This series has become a unique and integral part of the expansive G-SHOCK family tree.
Fast forward a quarter-century from its debut, and the 6900 series has undergone a remarkable evolution, now epitomised by the covered metal model. Retaining the series' signature design elements – the rounded shape, "Triple Graph," and front button – the addition of a stainless steel bezel with a quality finish introduces a fresh interplay of colour, material, and texture. The outcome is a watch that exudes an original presence and individuality.
Evolving while retaining its core identity, the 6900 series embodies a timeless strength. Step into the new era of the 6900, where tradition meets innovation.
Designing a MASTERPIECE
Round Case
Form lines follow concentric circles, extending from inner to outer bezel. Button guards offer dual-sided protection, and a conical bezel bevel maintains a sleek profile, reducing interference with the wrist.
Triple Graph
Three synchronised circular graphics enhance the LCD face, introducing features such as a stopwatch and seconds display – a testament to the ingenious face design achievable only in a digital watch.
Dial
By layering the dial on the LCD, design possibilities emerge that an all-LCD face cannot provide. Decorative elements such as coating, printing, and surface finish open the door to a diverse range of models with rich variations.
Front Button
Crafted for backlight control, its inherent stability elevates it beyond a mere functional component, establishing it as an iconic symbol of strength within the G-SHOCK's exterior. Rooted in precise design, it achieves equilibrium with the button guards, featuring a shape and angle that facilitate easy pressing.
