The GDB500 has arrived in an even smaller and slimmer format than previous G-SHOCK models, and it’s throwing punches well above its weight division. It’s not only the slimness that blasts it into the future though, as the new featherweight champion also comes packed with tech and is presented in three masterfully minimalist renditions, including a deadly acid green.
The GDB500 models take an unconventional approach to G-SHOCK’s signature shock-absorbing hardware
Instead of having the case, bezel and band as separate components, all three have been combined in the construction. This allows each one to contribute both structurally and aesthetically. Two variations of band connectors show off this point of difference: a textured, solid type for the GDB500 and a translucent type for the GDB500S.
In terms of tech, the G-SHOCK GDB500 is equipped to help you smash goals
With an accelerometer to track steps and a graph display for progress reports. Additionally, you can pair the timepiece to your smartphone to deliver automatic time correction and easily set up the various functions via the app. The GDB500 has even got you when you’re hitting PBs at night, with a high-brightness auto LED to light up the dark.
