Full-metal design with the original colors, carrying on the G-SHOCK legacy

Among the most iconic designs in G-SHOCK history, two standout styles have been reimagined with a full-metal exterior and the original color scheme of the very first model, the DW-5000C. Featuring a smooth metal finish paired with a black-based face, the watches boast symbolic accents in red, yellow, and blue. These watches capture a toughness and timeless spirit that transcend generations.

A direct descendant of the original G-SHOCK design

GMW-B5000D

The design code of the very first G-SHOCK, DW-5000C, is adopted, including the iconic brick pattern — a symbol of toughness — the “SHOCK RESIST” logo, and the mode and feature indicators. As a direct successor that symbolises both the origins and innovation of G-SHOCK, the original colour scheme of this watch expresses the enduring spirit of toughness.

Analog watch with octagonal bezel featuring the symbolic colours of the original G-SHOCK

GM-B2100SD

The accent colours on the black dial — red, yellow, and blue — are inspired by those of the very first G-SHOCK. Featuring a finely detailed dial with a delicate grind-mark finish and vapour deposition, the watch embodies a toughness-focused design that captures the essence of G-SHOCK identity.

Full-metal shock-resistant structure: Staying true to origins and constantly innovating

Buffering components made of fine resin are installed between the stainless-steel bezel and case. The shock-resistant structure maintained since the very first G-SHOCK is achieved in a timepiece with a metal exterior. Also, a three-pronged structure is employed for the connective part of the band to disperse shocks to the connecting pipes. The case back features a screw-lock construction that ensures a tight seal.

Made in Japan

The watch is crafted at Yamagata Casio, the “mother factory” where the first-ever G-SHOCK was made. Loyalty to the roots of that very first model makes these watches heirs to the original spirit of toughness that this made-in-Japan brand gave the world.

Meticulously crafted metal exterior

The bezel and case undergo meticulous processes of forging, cutting, and polishing, precisely crafting them into robust, powerful forms. A hairline finish is applied to the bezel top and a mirror finish to the beveled edges to maximise the textural appeal of the metal. Dimpling is applied to metal band pieces to reproduce the look of the resin band design of the very first G-SHOCK.
