Bezel of metal and translucent resin evoking shimmering waves

Featuring a design theme inspired by the summer surf scene, a bezel made with two different materials evokes the look of shimmering waves gleaming in the sunlight. The top bezel is made with stainless-steel components, with a mirror finish applied to the beveled edges, while clear translucent resin with a glossy sheen is employed for the base section.

Kanoa Igarashi

Igarashi started surfing at the age of three, encouraged by his surfing parents. At age nine, he became the youngest person ever to join the USA surfing team. Since 2014, he has participated in World Surf League (WSL) Qualifying Series tours, aiming to enter the WSL World Championship Tour, the world’s ultimate pro-surfing event. His victory at the Mahalo Surf Eco Festival held in Brazil in 2015 led to his successful entry into the Championship Tour (CT) the following year. While still a rookie, Igarashi demonstrated remarkable consistency and a clever competitive approach, never losing in the first round of any tour event. With impressive showings including a defeat of surf legend Kelly Slater (USA) in the final games, the Billabong Pipe Masters, he finished second place at the event and 20th place overall that year, qualifying him to compete in the WSL CT once again in 2017. In 2019, in the Corona Bali Protected, the third event of the Men's Championship Tour, he celebrated victory in his first WSL event, making him the first Asian to claim this distinction, as well. In 2021, Igarashi represented Japan in the surfing competition at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, the first year the sport was featured as an official event, and took home the silver medal.
